changed.

There have only been a few books I have read, that I have loved as much as

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.

I want to write and tell you all about it.  I want to explain to you the simple and complicated nature of it’s characters, imagery and beauty.

But I will not do it justice.

I will only say that It has been a long time since a book has changed the way I think.

Go read it.  Please.

  1. Yes, yes, yes! It’s a WONderful book isn’t it? I don’t normally like to think that hard when I read but I’m so glad I did. Thought-changing is a great description.

BTW, I re-did my blogroll and added you with a small descriptor. Hope I got it all right.

ALTHO THE MOVIE IS NEVER AS GOOD AS THE BOOK…ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUVE READ THE BOOK FIRST…YOU STILL MIGHT ENJOY WATCHING THE ORIGINAL FILM ON A CLOUDY INSIDE TYPE OF DAY……ITS A GREAT OLD CLASSIC………OX PS….ANOTHER GREAT OLD BOOK AND FILM CLASSIC THAT YOU MAY LIKE IS “HOW GREEN WAS MY VALLEY”

I think you should read the Reagan Diaries next. It is a long read but very worth it. The love that President Reagan showed for his wife is so inspirational and his views on being President were very enlightening.

  5. I need to read it!!! tell me how the knitting book is. I heard mixed reviews.

  6. The Poisonwood Bible changed my life.

  7. You are so beautiful.

And you’ll love Friday Night Knitting Club. Get ready to cry…

  9. Omg, are you kidding? Sorry, stalking you, two comments in one day. I’m convinced we might be the same person.

I’ve read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn every single year, since second grade. Every year, another part of it makes more sense to me.
