images from our 2009 spring clean

One Saturday, while Miss K was frolicking at Grandpa and Grandma’s, Sean and I were removing pillow covers, scrubbing cabinets and moving around furniture.

Molly was especially appreciative of the new “bed” outside, made from the insides of our pillows (while the covers were being washed):

Sean spent almost 4 hours in the kitchen alone.  It was sparkling:

This made my stomach TURN.  I moved a piece of furniture in our bedroom and found this!  SICK!

But…after all was said and done….about 8 hours later, we had a clean house that smelled of peppermint and was hair free (for now).  We moved around the living room too.  I think it’s a nice change:

And a clean kitchen.  I seriously felt like I got a new house!

I love cleaning and have been able to enjoy the “fruits of our labor” today, being at home.

Worth it.

Another fabulous tid-bit…

Today is my mom’s birthday and we had dinner and dessert at our place.  It was such an enjoyable evening, just being able to sit around, talk and be together.  I made my mom notecards out of a picture of Miss K that she loves. She mentioned that she would love some notecards with her picture on them, so this was a perfect gift for her!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!  We love you!
