Just a spoonful of sugar.

So many people know that Mary Poppins is my favorite movie. I think what makes it heads and tails above the rest is that I can watch it over and over and it always offers me a new nugget of happiness.
There are so many words of wisdom that Mary Poppins has to offer…
Take for instance:
“In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun. You find the fun, and – SNAP – the job’s a game!”
Most certainly! I made up a fun game today while cleaning around the house, and SNAP! It was done in a flash!
And we need not forget:
“Close your mouth please, Michael. We are not a codfish.”
Manners, Manners!!!
Yet another:
“Come feed the little birds, show them the way…and you’ll be glad that you do. Their young ones are hungry, there nests are so bare, all it takes are tuppins from you.”
All it takes is a little bit from me to make the difference to someone else….
Or my personal favorite (while a little bold of Mary…) is:
“Practically perfect people never permit sentiment to muddle their thinking.”
I know I spend too much time hovering over the emotional side of the situation…Stick to the facts, Rachel!

I just love British nannies….
